Fabric Cutting Planner

Compare your layout with the best found, estimate fabric by size, and plan production yardage.

PLANNING SIMULATION — NOT APPROVED FOR PURCHASING. Layouts use improved estimated garment shapes, not actual cutting patterns. Confirm at least one actual cutting layout and fabric loss with the factory before placing fabric or yarn orders. The 5% extra loss is a separate planning allowance, not a promise that layout waste is below 5%.

1. Fabric & Cutting

Repeat the size mix inside one marker
Estimates how many shirts the available fabric could support.
Estimated curves, not real pattern files
Only 0° and optional 180° — never 90°.
Set factory-required spacing when known. The drawn outlines remain estimates.

Actual 79" · Label 78" · Cutting 76" are shown separately. Pieces are only placed inside Cutting Width.

2. Sizes & Pieces

Set your Size Mix to test a marker; enter Production Qty for the fabric you want to cut. Each color or fabric must be estimated separately.

SizeSize MixProduction Qty

Size Mix = shirts of that size in one marker group. Production Qty = shirts you want to manufacture. They do not need the same proportions.

You can estimate per-size fabric with any production quantities.

3. Other Fabric

Rib and tape are separate from main jersey. Leave fields empty until factory values are confirmed.

A value entered here is assumed to be a verified allowance. It is not calculated from a neckline pattern.

4. Edit Tee Specs (20 measurements)

Base specs below follow the latest Men's and Youth tables you supplied. All measurements are in inches. You can edit them for another style. Changes affect the geometry when applicable.

Your Layout vs. Recommended

Same shirts and same cutting width. Recommendation searches more arrangements and can use 180° rotation. It is the best found, not a proven global optimum.

Historical reference: the boss recorded 0.788 yd/shirt net on a different, unidentified historical size/pattern. This is not a calibration input or a promise for the current grading.
About the estimates
The visual uses estimated shapes from your Specs, plus your sewing and process allowances. These are not verified cutting patterns. The model does not account for actual grain line, nap, fabric lay style, or cutting tool width until confirmed. The 180° option always keeps the better no-rotation result. Left/right sleeves are separate pieces and 90° turning is not allowed. Fabric Used below 95% means your 5% waste goal was not reached.

7. Consumption by Size & Production Fabric

Estimated main jersey by size, using separate optimized two-shirt cutting markers. This estimate works even when your order mix differs from your test marker. Calculations are for one fabric / color at a time.
